Trees should be pruned every 1-2 years depending on the species. Maintaining a tree pruning schedule will  give you a safer more beautiful, and healthier tree.  Feel free to call our arborist at 818-992-1234 for a free consultation today.

Crown Reduction

Crown reduction or "thinning" is the removal of a portion of smaller/tertiary branches, usually on the outer crown. This produces a uniform density of foliate and promotes an evenly spaced branched structure.  This can be a safe project to implement if a tree is interfering with utility wires or growing into buildings.  At times, trees can also become hazardous due to their size, branch length, or condition. Our arborist is a tree lover at heart and will do everything to try and save the tree while eliminating these hazards. Also, as an added bonus, crown thinning allows for more light penetration and air flow which decreases the likelihood of breaks and falls during heavy winds and promotes healthier growth

Crown Lifting

Crown lifting is the removal of lower branches which increases the clearance between the ground level and the lower branches.

Palm Trimming

Southern California living affords us beautiful palm trees! Depending on the species, our palm trees require frequent maintenance to remove any hanging, dead, or unhealthy fronds. Not only are dead fronds unsightly, but they can easily turn into hazardous situations or homes for animals such as rats.
