Crown Reduction
Crown reduction or "thinning" is the removal of a portion of smaller/tertiary branches, usually on the outer crown. This produces a uniform density of foliate and promotes an evenly spaced branched structure. This can be a safe project to implement if a tree is interfering with utility wires or growing into buildings.
